COSMIC BALLROOM was born and raised in Eskilstuna,
Sweden in 1998. Their debut album "Rock n' roll
overdose" was released by KICK MUSIC A/S (Dk) in
2001 in various territories; UK, Sweden, Denmark, Italy,
Benelux etc and it was also released in Japan through
EMI/TOSHIBA. The European release included a video "Faster
than me" directed by Rainer Holmgren.
They did a German tour with German support act V8 WANKERS
in Jan - Feb 2002 that turned out great for the band.
They got tremendous feedback and fed the band with a
lot of energy to record their second album "Stoned,
broke & ready to rumble" which was released
in Scandinavia (Kick Music), during spring 2003. Once
again Anders "Theo" Theander produced the
album and the outcome was fantastic, taking the band
to the next level. It's raw punk and rock n roll attitude
with great chorus and, of course, cool lyrics.
A new German tour was already booked so the band went
out on tour once again with V8 Wankers for about 20
shows in May-June 2003 and just weeks after this successful
tour, the band was offered a label promotion tour in
March 2004 after getting licensed to USA and Europe
(except Scandinavia) by ZYX MUSIC (Punk n Drunk label)
and the release was set for March 2004. The promotion
tour went great and CB did a TV appearance for NBC giga.
The tour was also documented on a DVD called "The
Punk n Drunk Tour"(Zyx). The album made high grades
in almost every magazine it was rated and it also put
the band on the independent (D.A.T) charts in Germany
for 7 weeks !!!! CB participated on 2 compilation albums
in 2004 together with bands such as: The Hives, Millencolin,
Social Distortion, The Hellacopters and Turbonegro to
name a few.
The coming 3rd album, "your drug of choice",
was recorded during 3 weeks of sleaze in Roastinghouse
studios and it's an excellent result of a close combat
with friend and producer Anders "Theo" Theander.
This time CB is reviving the old KISS trade of having
3 lead singers and the result is astonishing. The first
video "Celebration" is directed by Martin
Roos.
Enough said, this album will speak for itself.
